Mesquite Service League Grant Funding Requests
The Mesquite Service League accepts requests
from groups or entities seeking use of funds raised for community service
projects.
The League is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting civic and
benevolent projects. Each year, the group selects recipients for monies to
fund requests for projects that will benefit the community. Funds are raised
through an annual charity gala and other fundraising endeavors to support the
projects.
In over 50 years of serving the community, Mesquite Service League's
fundraising efforts have enabled the organization to make some sizable grants.
Some of the league's projects are as follows:
Grant awarded to New Beginnings Center for purchase of a van provided for Mesquite Social Services for transport of elderly and
handicapped
"Skeet," an educational robot used to promote public safety for the Mesquite
Police department.
A fire safety house for the Mesquite Fire Department to promote fire safety in
schools
Annual Christmas projects that assist families and senior citizens in need.
The funds raised by the League stay in the community. That is the commitment
of the Mesquite Service League and the legacy of service the League's
volunteers strive to uphold.
The Mesquite Service League accepts grant requests for community service
projects. The league, whose mission is to support and improve the community,
awards more than $25,000 annually.
